Head of Region (North)

The Head of Region will set the culture, ambition and quality of the programme in the region. They will take responsibility for the performance of the participants in the region, striving to develop staff and systems as appropriate to maximise participants’ impact on prisoners and the prison system.

They will attract, train, support and manage a team of regional staff so that they are enabled to provide the exceptional support that empowers participants to be transformative. Line management of Mentoring Prison Officers is a particularly important aspect of the role. The Head of Region should be confident in developing staff to be excellent training facilitators, coaches and mentors. This includes delivery of a Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring qualification.

Chief Operating Officer

The Communications Manager will own and lead all communications on behalf of User Voice, working collaboratively with our volunteers and staff teams to raise awareness of what we do. The post holder will work collaboratively with senior leadership and our staff teams to enable User Voice to become more visible, influential and responsive in the way we communicate with stakeholders internally and externally. They will also proactively influence policy within the criminal justice system by being a conduit between User Voice research and consultation reports and key decision makers and policy forums.

Engagement is central to User Voice’s activities. The Engagement Team Leader will have significant experience of engaging service users through a range of techniques and approaches involving them in the design, delivery and evaluation of services. As a regional manager the Engagement Team Leader will be responsible for engaging with local stakeholders, in both project delivery and business development activities.
