Spark Inside delivers coaching programmes in prisons to promote rehabilitation and decrease violence and reoffending.

Spark Inside is currently seeking a Service Delivery Manager who thrives when building relationships with young people, and has the passion and drive to achieve outcomes in a challenging environment. The Service Delivery Manager has an exciting on-the-ground position, mainly based within prisons in Greater London and Kent. S/he is responsible for engaging clients onto Spark Inside’s programmes to maximise attendance, retention and impact. S/he is also responsible for managing programme coaches, coordinating delivery sessions and supporting programme monitoring and evaluation.

We are looking for someone with first rate research project management skills and a strong desire to use these skills to coordinate the research team’s work across multiple, high profile projects. You will have a strong track record of designing and undertaking research with vulnerable people and are likely to have expertise in criminal justice, mental health and/or another social policy area related to our work.

Alongside conducting research yourself, you will play an important managerial role ensuring the team functions excellently. This role can be fast paced, and you will need to enjoy working with clients, partners, the team, frontline staff and people who use services. You will have a sharp eye for detail and be very self-sufficient.

Salary: £33,000-£38,000

You will be joining a forward-looking, national charity that delivers the Shannon Trust Reading Plan to prisoners across England, Wales and Northern Ireland via our simple and effective peer mentored approach. You will be part of a wider team of Trustees, employees, and volunteers who provide the framework in which prisoners teach other prisoners to learn to read.
