CJA recruiting new Director

The Criminal Justice Alliance is now a uniquely authoritative coalition of 135 organisations – up from 70 three years ago – working together to create a fairer and more effective criminal justice system. On behalf of our members we promote ways of diverting people from crime, crime reduction, better policing, fairer justice, reduced reliance on imprisonment and better rehabilitation.

As Director – succeeding the current postholder Ben Summerskill – you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management and development of the CJA. Reporting to the Chair you’ll also be responsible for the strategic leadership of the charity’s work. You’ll have a critical external role too, representing the CJA to government, Whitehall, parliamentarians, the media and other stakeholders.

The CJA recognises the value of having a diverse group of people with a diversity of thinking and perspectives involved in the charity. We believe that these differences enrich the organisation. Consequently, we’re always keen to recruit from as wide a pool of candidates as possible.

Salary £57,500 + 7% pension.
