John Drew (Chair). John has been a trustee since 2015 and Chair since 2016. John was Chief Executive of the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales until 2013. He is a Director of the Standing Committee for Youth Justice and also a Senior Associate of the Prison Reform Trust. He is a visiting Professor and Chair of the Medway Safeguarding Children’s Board.

Geoff Bayliss (Treasurer). Geoff has been a Trustee and Treasurer since 2014. Geoff was a senior Partner at a large firm of patent attorneys until he retired in 2010 and remains a consultant. Geoff was a Magistrate on the Richmond Bench for nearly three decades. He was Deputy Chairman of the South West London Bench. Geoff is also a school governor. 

C.J. Burge. CJ has been a trustee since 2018. CJ is SOS+ Project Manager at St Giles Trust, a national project that prevents young people becoming involved in gangs and youth violence by equipping them with tools, knowledge and support delivered by experts with lived experience (of the CJS). CJ is an award-winning ex-Longford Scholar who achieved a First-class Honours Law degree whilst in prison.

Janet Crowe. Janet has been a trustee since 2014. Janet was Deputy Director at Prison Reform Trust until 2015. She previously held CEO roles at Sova and Age UK. She was also Director of Surrey Community Safety Unit and an Assistant Director of the Princes Trust. Janet holds a Master’s degree in criminal justice and is trained in restorative practices.

Caroline Drummond. Caroline was appointed as a trustee by the Board in April 2019.  Caroline is Policy and Public Affairs Manager for Nacro. She was formerly a Policy Officer for the Institute of Fundraising and has a Master’s Degree in The Charities Act.  She was a former paralegal for an attorney in the U.S working with large social justice charities and non-profits.

Carol Hodson. Carol was appointed as a trustee by the Board in April 2019.  Carol is an experienced Finance Director and Company Secretary with 30 years’ experience in charity sector including at The Princes Trust, WRVS and UNA-UK. She has been a Treasurer of The Fawcett Society and Peace Direct.

Lucy Jaffé. Lucy has been a trustee since 2018. Lucy is Director of Why Me? the charity established by a victim of crime to increase access to restorative justice for other victims. Lucy previously worked in marketing and communications and was previously the National Coordinator of Reunite, the National Council for Abducted Children.

Rod Morgan. Rod was appointed as a trustee by the Board in April 2019.  Rod is a visiting Professor of Criminal Justice, trustee of The Police Foundation and Associate of Birkbeck University Centre for Prison Studies. He was a former Chief Inspector of Probation and former Chairman of the Youth Justice Board. He has also served on the IMB, as a Magistrate, a parole board member and advisor to the Council of Europe.

Tebussum Rashid. Tebussum was appointed as a trustee by the Board in April 2019.  Tebussum is Deputy Chief Executive of Black Training and Enterprise Group (BTEG) and Secretariat for EQUAL. She is a member of Lammy Review External Advice Scrutiny Panel and a trustee of Peace & Desist. She is a former grants manager and evaluation officer.

Nadine Smith. Nadine was appointed as a trustee by the Board in April 2019.  Nadine is a Youth Engagement and Criminal Justice facilitator. Nadine uses her lived and professional expertise to influence change as a member of the Independent Office of Police Complaints (IOPC) Youth Panel, T2A Young Adult Advisory Group and previously on the Sussex Youth Commission and West Sussex Youth Cabinet.

Kevin Wong. Kevin was appointed as a trustee by the Board in April 2019.  Kevin is Associate Director, Criminal Justice Policy and Evaluation Unit at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is co-editor of the British Journal of Community Justice. He was formerly Assistant Director at NACRO and CAB Manager developing services for BAME people.
